Opening Sequence & Lah’mu Changes
Replaced opening space and planet establishing shots with the LSS and Lucasfilm logos.
Retained the opening music, delaying the first planetary reveal until the score’s initial crescendo, which now introduces Lah’mu and Krennic’s ship.
Trimmed the Lah’mu approach sequence to cut directly from the reconnaissance drone observing Krennic’s ship to Galen viewing the approach inside the house.
Removed Young Jyn’s exterior run and redundant warning, introducing her already inside with Galen as the evacuation begins.
Removed Lyra Erso’s communication with Saw Gerrera, eliminating his involvement in Jyn’s life during the opening.
Removed the scene of Lyra Erso giving Jyn the kyber crystal necklace and referencing the Force.
Removed the brief shot implying that Jyn runs away and then turns back, maintaining her presence at the homestead until the later escape to the cave.
Removed the brief sequence of stormtroopers searching the cave and departing without finding Jyn.
Replaced Rogue on title reveal with new one.
Replaced the original Rogue One theme during the title reveal with a elegiac variation lifted from the trailer.
Jyn Introduction & Yavin 4
Removed Jyn’s opening shot in a jail cell.
Removed the sequence between Cassian and the informant in the alley.
Jyn’s introduction now begins with her capture and transport at the Imperial labor camp.
Retained the labor camp rescue sequence.
Redid the Yavin 4 planet shot by removing the on-screen location text, leaving only the establishing visual.
Left the Rebel council sequence intact.
Removed General Draven’s kill order to Cassian.
Removed K-2SO’s dialogue about Jyn carrying a blaster and follow-up discussion about the blaster.
Jedha Setup & Tarkin Introduction
During Bodhi’s interrogation, replaced Saw Gerrera’s oxygen mask “breathing hit” with a more still reaction as Bodhi identifies Galen Erso as the sender of the message.
Replaced Tarkin’s initial appearance with select scene from Darken VFX's and Derpfake's deepfake footage. Color matched.
Inserted a new reaction shot of Krennic to bridge between original and deepfake shots.
Reconstructed one Tarkin shot when he says delivers his "time and ally line," using deepfake footage only as visual reference to generate new facial composites.
Removed the lingering hold on Tarkin after Krennic exits.
Scene now ends cleanly on Krennic’s line: “I will not fail.”
Removed Jyn’s extended dream montage. Retained bunker door opening audio over black.
Hard cut from black to Jyn waking aboard the transport enroute to Jedha.
Jedha Market & Capture
Removed the Bor Gullet interrogation scene.
Removed the Ponda Baba and Evazan interaction.
Removed the PSA announcement regarding the missing cargo pilot.
Trimmed portions of the Jedha market walkthrough.
Retained the remainder of the market sequence and ensuing fight.
Removed Chirrut and Baze’s exchange following the market fight (“You almost shot me” / “You’re welcome”).
After Benthic orders “Take them!” only Jyn is shown being hooded before a hard cut to the next scene.
Removed cantina character imagery from the jail sequence, keeping the focus on the capture.
Saw Gerrera & Prison Sequence
Trimmed Jyn and Saw Gerrera’s conversation to remove Saw’s paranoia about Jyn being sent to kill him.
Adjusted Bodhi’s jail introduction so he immediately confirms he is the pilot, removing disoriented hesitation.
Rebuilt 2 Tarkin shots telling Krennic to bomb the Holy City. using deepfake footage only as visual reference to generate new facial composites.
Removed Saw Gerrera’s line instructing Jyn to “save the rebellion / save the dream."
Removed Saw Gerrera’s final acceptance-of-death moment, including the mask removal.
Tarkin Briefing Reconstruction
Rebuilt all Tarkin shots post Jedha scene using deepfake footage only as visual reference to generate new facial composites.
Dialogue remains unchanged, with new facial motion applied throughout the scene.
Jedha Fallout & Eadu Sequences
Trimmed General Draven’s briefing following Jedha’s destruction, removing explicit dialogue ordering Galen Erso’s assassination.
Removed the scene explicitly showing Krennic enroute to Eadu.
Trimmed the Eadu approach shot to remove the on-screen location text, allowing the destination to be inferred visually.
Removed Cassian’s line “Hold on, we’re going down hard!” during the Eadu crash landing sequence.
Rest of Eadu scenes play out as is.
Trimmed the post-Eadu transport confrontation by removing Cassian’s line dismissing Jyn’s reaction as misplaced blame.
Removed the exchange where Jyn accuses Cassian of talking his way out and Cassian responds that he doesn’t have to.
Vader & Council Revisions
Removed the entirety of Darth Vader and Krennic scene on Mustafar.
Left the Rebel council debate regarding Scarif intact.
Retained the crew’s decision to regroup and proceed independently.
Removed Bodhi’s hesitation when assigning the call sign, stating “Rogue One” immediately.
Removed the follow-up scene between Mothma and Organa discussing Alderaan and Jedi.
Scarif Arrival & Battle Refinements
Trimmed the Scarif arrival to remove the on-screen location text while retaining the establishing planet shot.
Trimmed Jyn’s necklace moment during the Scarif approach.
Removed Jyn’s approval nod to Cassian before the Scarif beach assault, allowing Cassian to give the command to light up the bombs independently.
Trimmed Krennic’s reaction after the beach explosion, cutting directly to his order to deploy the garrison.
Retained Jarkan’s Tarkin deepfake footage for the Scarif command scene with minor color grading adjustments.
Removed the R2-D2 and C-3PO cameo during the squadron takeoff.
Rest of the battle plays out as is.
Removed Jyn’s line “You know who I am” during her confrontation with Krennic.
Removed Jyn attempting to pursue the wounded Krennic after the transmission is sent.
Dubbed over Cassian saying, "Let's go!"
Trimmed the Death Star command sequence to retain only rear-angle shots of Tarkin, removing front close-ups.
Finale & Epilogue Changes
Removed Darth Vader’s brief appearance overseeing the Scarif battle. He now appears only in the final fight sequence.
Retained the Darth Vader hallway fight as is.
Trimmed the ending to conclude after Vader watches Tantive IV escape, cutting directly to the hyperspace jump and end credits, removing Princess Leia’s cameo.
Added extra SFX as the ships flies away.
Replaced the original Rogue One theme during the end credits with a custom arrangement assembled from official trailer versions of the theme.
