• Streamlined Grace's awakening by reducing the amnesia-driven "figuring out" sequence and removing many of its comedic beats.

• Repurposed existing footage into a new montage of Grace sorting through his crewmates' belongings, and visiting the ships plaques, rescored with "From Gold" by Novo Amor.

• Added Grace saying "I commend you to the stars" during the crew burial sequence, restoring a fan-favorite line from the novel.

• Added brief family memory insert while Grace observes the virtual beach.

First Contact

• Removed extended ships "playing tag" sequence between Grace and Rocky.

• Rocky sends the bottle message immediately upon establishing contact.

• Removed Grace tripping after restoring gravity.

• Retained all of first contact and communication-development scenes.

Rocky Aboard

• Reduced recurring "dirty ship" jokes as Rocky explores Grace's ship.

• Removed Rocky's request for Grace to demonstrate the sampling mission using ship figures and a puppet show.

• Rest of interactions are mostly intact with minor tweaks. 

Family Arc

• Added extended family confession sequence during Grace and Rocky's discussion of their mates.

• Reframed Grace's decision to remain on Erid as an emotional choice.

• Reworked probe-launch sequence to reflect Grace's new decision.

Final Scenes & End Credits

• Reworked Rocky's final conversation with Grace to support the revised ending.

• Removed the implication that Grace remains on Erid because of ship limitations.
